The Life and Times of an Overly Busy Me

Keeping up with a blog is hard. It takes time away from the million other things that I *should* be doing. I think it is important though. From a personal point of view, it allows me to record moments of my life as they pass by so quickly. From a business point of view, I believe it shows our customers that we are real people and creates a rapport with them.

Here are some of the life events that have kept me busy lately:
  • FAMILY - My father made it through heart bypass surgery successfully. He is 10 days out now and recovering at home. I flew back to central Missouri to be there for the surgery and I'm glad I did. I was able to visit with my sister, who I haven't seen in several years, and be there for my mom and my dad while he was recovering in the hospital.
  • FAMILY - I hope the baby doesn't come too soon. If she takes after her parents at all, though, she'll be late! I still have a car seat to install, an apartment to organize and clean, a room to decorate, and all the myriad of other baby prep stuff I have been postponing . Babies come with a concise howto right?
  • BUSINESS - Launching a web application takes a large amount of nurturing. Like a baby I guess. Wait I think I hear little ScrapEase -- she must be hungry....

Obliterating the Blurry Bug

Several people reported that the pages were looking "blurry."

Upon investigation, pages indeed were mysteriously blurry.

Well, consider it fixed. BLURRY BUGS BE GONE!!!

Yay, Kits!

I am excited to say that more kits are on the way. Kits for baby, Halloween, fall, back to school, and more! Hooray!

First faltering steps

Well, we sent out beta testing invitations and got a few responses. Not a lot of feedback yet, but I think people are still figuring it out. I can't wait until we have our guided tour ready to go. The tutorial album needs a lot of work, but at least there's something there. I wonder though if people have been skipping it. Hmmm.

We had server problems last night. Of course, we have no problems with the company we get our servers through for the last year, but once we start beta testing, they have network issues that bog down all the servers. *Sigh* I guess some things can't be helped. Hopefully this is an isolated incident and isn't portending problems to come. I really hope we don't have to change server providers.

All in all, I'm glad that we're into beta testing, but I'm anxious for people to start using the site and making cool scrapbooks. I'll be really excited when one of our beta testers finishes an album and then sends it to people. Hopefully that will happen soon!

If you build it...

I woke up this morning to find someone had registered for an account at ScrapEase.com. We haven't even sent out our beta tester invitation email yet, but apparently someone out there has been waiting for our site to go live.

Trying out this blogging thing

Well, we are nearly ready for beta launch, and things are slowly coming together. As my dad says, everything takes longer than you think. But, at long last, we'll finally be able to get some feedback on this project we've worked so hard on. I think it's pretty cool, and I'm hopeful that others will think so too.

Final Push

After a long, long painful process, we are nearing our beta launch. Scrapease is getting pretty polished at this point, but we are hoping to get some good feedback from eager beta testers.

This is the point where you just have to hold your breath and dive in.

Welcome to our Blog?

Not sure if anyone is going to be reading this, but I thought it might be fun to start a blog for Kizmeta and ScrapEase.
